We’re excited to announce the official launch of Storyboard, our new hub for in-depth conversations with Tumblr’s creative community. We’ll be posting regular features on creators working in and around Tumblr’s massively diverse cosmos — writers, musicians, animators, scientists, artists, archivists, chefs, comedians, or anyone else with a great story to tell. Today we’re talking about Michael Stipe, the New York Times, Afghanistan, and the design mechanics of the Tumblr Dashboard.

We want to hear your stories too. If you’re interested in submitting a story (or even a story idea) for us to publish, just post it on Tumblr tagged with #storyboard. Our editors will monitor the tag and the community’s interactions there, promoting stories that resonate. And if your story really works, we’ll ask to expand it for publication on Storyboard itself.

The Morgans Hotel group has recently reviewed their entire social media strategy. As part of this review they have produced a stunning Tumblr which curates content from their events, brand inspirations and famed music sessions all around the globe. Named Morgans Back of House and without a doubt, one of my favourite Tumblr follows this month.

New York never sleeps, and luckily, neither does foursquare.

It was only two weeks ago that I was spending my days exploring the weird and wonderful New York has to offer.

Whilst on this trip I fell a little in love with foursquare Radar, up until now this functionality had only reminded me to check-in to the office each day as I arrived, not ideal. But as a tourist walking the streets of New York, this feature really came in to its own. Now I could wander where ever my feet fancied and get sent notifications whenever a bar/shop/vintage market/cheesecake stand/and more bars that I wanted to visit happened to be close by.

A little investigation in the weeks prior to the trip uncovered some impressive foursquare lists and tips to follow. Here’s a few of my favourite foursquare lists for New York and my own list which went from 15 to 57 pretty quickly.. guess I’ll just have to go back again soon.

New York to-dos, I’m yet to do.

H&M announced that they have collaborated with  Anna Dello Russo for Fall 2012.  The collection will go on sale in-store and online from October 4 2012.

Our Latest Project with Future Cinema

In addition to the work we’ve been doing with Future Cinema, Rabbit are truly privileged to have been working for The Other Cinema to spread awareness and inspire debate around their La Haine project.

As part of the assistance we’ve been providing, we’ve set up a live Twitter debate with Future Cinema founder Fabien and Broadwater Farm residents Isaac and Moses. We’ve also been helping to establish social profiles, generating content, spreading awareness amongst social influencers and taking on community management duties live reporting from the first event, a live screening on the Broadwater Farm Estate.

Head over to Storify to ready the full story of the Broadwater Farm event.
